Ms. Zareen Mahmud Hosein is an Independent Director of Mutual Trust Bank PLC (MTB).

Ms. Zareen Mahmud Hosein has been appointed as Independent Director of MTB. Ms. Hosein has 20 plus years of Financial Management and Leadership experience. She is the Founding Partner of Snehasish Mahmud & Co., Chartered Accountants. She is also the Founder of HerStory Foundation and CholPori, a blended learning platform. She is the Editor of the two volumes of HerStories: Adventures of SuperGirls, books on homegrown female role models.

Ms. Hosein started her career at New York City Mayor’s Budget Office and then served at KPMG, LLP in New York where she qualified as a Certified Public Accountant. She moved to Bangladesh and worked at ACNABIN, Chartered Accountants before starting her own practice.

Ms. Hosein serves on the Board of Campaign for Popular Education (CAMPE), Shasha Denims Limited, Bangladesh Mahila Samity and Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) Bangladesh. Previously, she has served on the Board of Aga Khan Foundation Bangladesh, Sajida Foundation and Ghashful and was President of EO Bangladesh.

She obtained a BA degree from Smith College and an MPA from New York University. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh and an Acumen Fellow.
